The first step to getting your septic tank is to fill out a Land Research Request Form with the County before submitting any septic tank application. You’ll answer a few questions and fill-out some information in the form.
Next, you’ll want to go to the Flathead County Health Department website and either apply for a Residential Evaluation and Septic System Application or a Commercial Evaluation and Septic System Application. If you’re unsure if you need a Site Review or Evaluation, you can complete this form.

Finally, after you get approval from both departments you can complete our Get an Estimate Form. This form will walk you through each question we need answered to give you the most accurate estimate possible. The process is different depending on what county you are in. All properties need to have Land Research Request approval before anything else. After that it is up to each county on what they require.

500 Gallon Septic Tank / Effluent Chamber – This single compartment tank is generally used as an effluent chamber in tandem with a larger septic chamber, and can be useful when system expansion is the goal. 500 Gallon septic tanks are suitable for 1 bedroom gravity drain fields where allowed by governing permitting agency. Also this tank is used as an effluent chamber for an AdvanTex(c) sewer treatment system. Traffic rated drive-over lids and castings are available as an option along with concrete, PVC or fiberglass risers and lids.
1000 Gallon Septic Tank / Pump Chamber – 1000 gallon septic tanks are suitable for 3 bedrooms, configured for gravity type drain fields, siphons or pump-out pressure dosing systems. Septic tanks are available in single compartment and two compartment configurations. These tanks are also commonly used as effluent dosing chambers on larger systems. Traffic rated drive-over lids and castings are available as an option along with concrete, PVC or fiberglass risers and lids.
1000/500 Gallon – Septic Chamber / Effluent (Pump) Chamber – Suitable for three bedroom or smaller installations, configured for dosing siphons or pump-out pressure dosing systems. Traffic rated drive-over lids and castings are available as an option along with concrete, PVC or fiberglass risers and lids.
1500/500 Gallon Septic Chamber / Effluent (Pump) Chamber – Suitable for 4-5 bedrooms, configured for dosing siphons or pump-out pressure dosing systems. Traffic rated drive-over lids and castings are available as an option along with concrete, PVC or fiberglass risers and lids.
2500 Gallon (1650/850) Septic Chamber/Effluent (Pump) Chamber – Suitable for 5 bedrooms houses along with a shop restroom, configured for dosing siphon or pump-out pressure dosing systems. Traffic rated drive-over lids and castings are available as an option along with concrete, PVC or fiberglass risers and lids.
2000/1000 Gallon Septic Chamber/Effluent (Pump) Chamber – Suitable for 6 bedroom installations, configured for dosing siphon or pump-out pressure dosing systems. Traffic rated drive-over lids and castings are available as an option along with concrete, PVC or fiberglass risers and lids.
1000/500 Siphon Tank – Suitable for 3 bedrooms, these tanks are configured for low-pressure dosing (siphon) systems. Ideal for sustainable pressure dose septic systems, where applicable, as they do not require power to operate and have no mechanical moving parts to maintain. A minimum elevation drop is required between the tank outlet and the drain field, contact Glacier Precast to determine if this system will work for you. Traffic-rated drive-over lids and castings are available as an option along with concrete, PVC, or fiberglass risers and lids.
1500/500 Siphon Tank – Suitable for 4-5 bedrooms, these tanks are configured for low pressure dosing (siphon) systems. Ideal for sustainable pressure dose septic systems, where applicable, as they do not require power to operate and have no mechanical moving parts to maintain. A minimum elevation drop is required between the tank outlet and the drain field, contact Glacier Precast to determine if this system will work for you. Traffic rated drive-over lids and castings are available as an option along with concrete, PVC or fiberglass risers and lids.

1500 Gallon Low Profile Septic Tank – Two chamber tank with reduced height to accommodate installations where excess ground-water or solid rock prevents digging to standard depths. Suitable for three bedroom or smaller installations, configured as a septic/effluent pump arrangement or used in trickle (gravity) drain field applications. Traffic rated drive-over lids and castings are available as an option along with concrete, PVC or fiberglass risers and lids.

1000 Gallon Interceptor Tank—Designed for optimum efficiency and structural integrity, our separator tanks come in various sizes to accommodate a wide range of applications. Traffic-rated drive-over lids, along with concrete, PVC, or fiberglass risers and lids, are available as an option. These tanks are built to order per your specifications and work great for Grease Interceptors or Oil Sand Separator tanks.

Pump Station Package – Pump Stations are the perfect solution to any sewage or effluent pumping needs that you may have. These stations are packaged in a durable and compact 30″ catch basin and are delivered with the pump installed and plumbed in for your convenience. These complete packages include all the plumbing, controls and an alarm panel. Pump station packages can be installed with grinder, solid handling or effluent pumps tailored to our needs. Pedestrian or traffic rated lids are also available.
